Ridddle · LIGO measured a change smaller than a proton
sample · UNAFFILIATED · Jessie craft demo. A 59-second science Short re-cut from Ridddle's 19-minute "What Space Really Sounds Like", built around one fact: in LIGO's first detection in 2015, its two arms changed length by only about four quintillionths of a meter, roughly 1/200th of the diameter of a proton. It opens on that number over the real 4 km detector arm, then rewinds to what caused it: two black holes spiraling together and merging, gravitational waves rippling out across spacetime, and the two L-shaped observatories in Washington and Louisiana. An interferometer diagram shows one arm stretching while the other squeezes. Then you hear the real chirp over the actual Hanford and Livingston signal plot, followed by three suns' worth of mass turning into gravitational waves, and it closes on the ripple's 1.3-billion-year trip to reach us. The narration is reordered so the payoff comes first, B-roll is re-timed to each line (merger on "merge", the sun on "sun's worth", the aerial shots on the two states), and word-synced captions run throughout. Cuts sit on measured audio minima, with a warm-high, cool-shadow grade, fine grain and -14 LUFS loudness. Not affiliated with or commissioned by Ridddle or LIGO; original footage © Ridddle. Ridddle · Dead TV static hides the Big Bang
sample · UNAFFILIATED · Jessie craft demo. A 59-second science Short re-cut from Ridddle's 19-minute "What Space Really Sounds Like", built around one surprising fact: about 1% of the snow on a dead TV channel is light left over from the early universe. It cold-opens on that line over real TV static, then tells the 1964 Bell Labs story of Arno Penzias and Robert Wilson chasing a noise that wouldn't quit (even scrubbing pigeon droppings out of the antenna) before realizing they had found the cosmic microwave background. It closes on the afterglow of everything. The narration is reordered so the payoff is the hook, B-roll is re-timed so the dead-channel lines play over a CRT gamer and static and the radiation line plays over the Planck sky map, archival photos sit in fitted bands so both scientists stay in frame, and word-synced captions run throughout. Cuts sit on measured audio minima, with a warm-high, cool-shadow grade, fine grain and -14 LUFS loudness. Not affiliated with or commissioned by Ridddle; original footage © Ridddle. Lume · Nobody starts from an empty place
sample · UNAFFILIATED · Jessie craft demo. A 59-second Short re-cut from Lume's 57-minute video essay, taken from the chapter "So What Is a Copy?" and built around one idea: nobody starts from an empty place. It opens on the question (is it copying or learning?), then walks three exhibits: Van Gogh repainting Millet from black-and-white prints and calling it translating, Tarantino taking the Reservoir Dogs ending from City on Fire and the yellow tracksuit from Bruce Lee, and Hollywood's Save the Cat beat sheet. It lands on the line "There is no empty place." The narration is reordered so the thesis is the cold open and the closing card. B-roll is re-timed so the formula line plays over the matching poster comparisons, each shot is reframed for 9:16 with tall crops on portraits and fitted bands on side-by-side comparisons, and word-synced captions run throughout. Cuts sit on measured audio minima, with a warm-high, cool-shadow grade, fine grain and -14 LUFS loudness. Not affiliated with or commissioned by Lume; original video-essay footage © Lume. fern · How Donnie Brasco fooled the mob by selling
sample · UNAFFILIATED · Jessie craft demo. A 56-second Short re-cut from fern's 51-minute documentary on FBI agent Joe Pistone, built around one idea: the mob knows undercover cops always buy and never sell, so Donnie sells. He hands the bartender a pouch of FBI-supplied jewelry, names his price, and when the offer comes back low he takes it back instead of lowering it, because no real jewel thief would. The payoff lands on the message: he wasn't selling jewelry, he was selling credibility. Story-first beat cards carry the rule, the ask and the test; word-synced captions run on narration and step aside when fern's in-game dialogue boxes speak; each shot is reframed for 9:16 (tall crops on faces, fitted bands so dialogue boxes stay whole); cuts sit on measured audio minima with soft fades; light cool-shadow grade and -14 LUFS loudness. Jack Neel × Connor Leahy · Why AI billionaires build bunkers
sample · UNAFFILIATED · Jessie craft demo. A 45-second Short re-cut from Jack Neel's nearly two-hour interview with AI safety researcher Connor Leahy, built claim-first: an ex-Google insider says AI CEOs are building bunkers, Jack asks the man who has had dinner with them, and Connor flips it: the bunkers are not for the AI, they fear the public, because no bunker hides you from superintelligence, any more than an ant can hide from the entire US military. It closes on his ask: 'we have to stop them.' Cuts sit on measured pauses, a dead-air beat is removed with a punch-in, each shot is reframed for 9:16 with face tracking, lower-thirds name every speaker, word-synced beat cards carry the argument, captions are checked against the audio, and loudness sits at -14 LUFS. fern · Antwerp's 15-year-old coke runners
sample · UNAFFILIATED · Jessie craft demo. A 54-second Short re-cut from fern's 22-minute documentary on Europe's cocaine trade, built story-first: Johnny, 15, is recruited as a 'uithaler' (coke runner) at the Port of Antwerp, the job is laid out in three word-synced steps, then the stakes land with the 44-ton seizure stat and 'one wrong move and it's game over'. The opening card names the place and the stakes in the first second. The 2.35:1 cinema footage is reframed for 9:16 per shot: tall bands with gentle pans for faces, fitted bands for maps and data graphics so fern's own on-screen text stays whole. Sponsor reads are removed, narration cuts are snapped to natural pauses, word-follow captions are checked against the audio, the grade is a light premium cool/warm balance, and loudness sits at -14 LUFS. Jack Neel Podcast · Andrew Tate on 'the brave choice'
sample · UNAFFILIATED · Jessie craft demo. A 54-second Short cut from a 3.4-hour long-form podcast, built message-first. The host's question ('If this is your last podcast, what is the one thing you want men to remember?') opens the cut under an 'If this were his last podcast…' context kicker, so the stakes read in the first second. The answer is condensed from about 2.5 minutes into one through-line, from the lost boxing match to 'the brave choice', with false starts removed and a held beat before 'regret'. 16:9 footage is reframed to 9:16 per shot. Word-synced graphics carry the speaker's own numbers (+50 lb, 15 yrs, +2 in) and his quoted $50M claim, labelled as his claim. Word-follow captions are checked against the audio, the grade is warm-cool premium, and loudness sits at -14 LUFS. Jack Neel Short · Why powerful people get away with evil
sample · UNAFFILIATED · Jessie craft demo. Unaffiliated sample re-edit of a Jack Neel podcast Short, built message-first. The host's question opens the cut with an 'On Jeffrey Epstein's network' context kicker in the first second. A punch-in ladder climbs with the guest's '8 feet → 80 → 800 → thousands of miles' metaphor, backed by a word-synced altitude meter, then snaps wide on the turn. The original burned captions are replaced with a smoked-glass bar and word-follow captions checked against the audio. Pauses are tightened, the grade is warm-cool premium, and loudness sits at -14 LUFS. Not affiliated with or commissioned by Jack Neel; views are the speakers'.
